    logistics sorting center solution

    project
    A large logistics sorting center covers an area of about 50000 square meters, with a core sorting area using a cross belt sorting system. The total length of the sorting lines is 800 meters, equipped with 6 sorting lines, and the daily processing volume of packages exceeds 500000. The sorting system includes 60 packaging platforms and 200+mobile sorting carts.

    At present, the package delivery platform needs to transmit real-time data such as the destination, weight, size, etc. of the package to the sorting control system, while the mobile sorting cart needs to achieve seamless roaming on the 800 meter long sorting line to ensure real-time interaction of scheduling instructions, location information, and status feedback.

    Therefore, the customer builds a highly reliable communication network to ensure real-time transmission of package data and seamless roaming communication of sorting carts.

    Solution Design

    Deploy KXS205G switch in the sorting center control room as the core communication node, directly connecting the scanning camera of the packaging table to the sorting system industrial control, realizing bidirectional real-time transmission of scanning data and industrial control computer instructions. At the same time, through VLAN partitioning function, the data transmission of the packaging table and the control instructions of the industrial control computer are separated into independent channels to avoid data congestion.

    Deploy KXA-5100 5NL wireless access points (APs) along the circular track of the cross belt sorting line to form signal coverage in the sorting belt area. AP supports 4900MHz~6100MHz frequency band and dynamic frequency selection (DFS) to avoid electromagnetic interference in the 2.4GHz frequency band within the sorting center, providing a foundation for non roaming communication of small cars.

    Each cross belt sorting cart is equipped with a KXC-1100 5N wireless communication module as an access layer terminal. The module supports fast handshake with KXA-5100 5NL AP. During the movement of the car, when the current AP signal is detected to be weakened, it can automatically switch to adjacent APs within 10ms, achieving "imperceptible roaming".

    KXA 5100-5NL Wireless Access Point:

    ·High concurrency access: AP mode supports simultaneous connection of 100+terminals, meeting the collaborative operation of multiple cross belt sorting carts and logistics intelligent devices.

    ·Long distance stable communication: high gain+high receiving sensitivity, ensuring that the signal of the cross belt sorting cart is not interrupted in the edge area of the sorting line.

    ·Strong anti-interference ability: covering the frequency range of 4900-6100MHz, combined with dynamic frequency selection (DFS), to maintain stability in the strong electromagnetic environment of the sorting center.

    ·Industrial grade durability: IP67 protection+(-40 ℃~80 ℃) wide temperature adaptability, easily coping with complex environments in logistics sorting centers.

    KXC 1100-5N wireless communication module:

    ·Compact design: can be embedded in small spaces inside the car, adapting to the compact structure of the car;

    ·Seamless roaming switching: Supports 802.11 a/n fast roaming protocol, with roaming switching time ≤ 10ms, ensuring uninterrupted communication and data loss when the car moves along a 300 meter circular track;

    KXS205G five port gigabit switch:

    ·Industrial grade stability: equipped with IP40 protection design, working temperature range -30 ℃~75 ℃, supporting 24-hour uninterrupted operation, MTBF (mean time between failures) ≥ 600000 hours, suitable for continuous operation scenarios in sorting centers;

    ·Fault self-healing capability: Supports link aggregation function. When a communication link of a packet supply station fails, the data can be automatically switched to the backup
